For the Harry Potter fans out there, who may be in need of a few distractions in the coming days:
- An article talking about a college class that is constructing a Harry Potter encyclopedia;
- Another article, this time from the father of child with Downs syndrome, on the power of narrative in the Harry Potter books; and
- Welcome Back, Potter (video).
I must admit that I’m not a big enough fan to bother with the midnight book parties, but I’m also going to do my best to avoid the inevitable spoilers until my name pops up on the public library’s wait list. Which could be a while. Ah, well.
Update: Oops! Forgot to include this post from Jennie, who works in a library [sorry Jennie, I misread!]. She has all sorts of links for you to click through to, plus a rant about folks who read the book early and spoil it for others. (Which really chaps my hide, too.)
