I’m still not convinced that our government sending us all money was really the smart thing to do, but at the same time there’s that whole don’t-look-a-gift-horse-in-the-mouth thing. Especially when paying for a graduate degree and tuition just keeps going up.
While most of those dollars are going to pay for this semester’s class, it seemed like I’d better do a little of that much-vaunted stimulating of the economy, so Saturday I went to a used bookstore:
then I hit Forward Foods and a local winery:
Somehow I don’t think this is quite what the powers-that-be had in mind, but it was money well spent.

What, you didn’t go out and buy a new SUV? Or at the least, new furnishings for your home?
Our “free” money is going to pay for the puppy’s spaying (also not what GWB had in mind, I am sure!).
I used mine for graduation gifts.
Hey, any chance of a MBTA t-shirt pic anytime soon?
And don’t you have a birthday coming up? This month, I think. Drop by my office and I’ll give you a copy of EndlesS as your birthday gift. Yeah, I know you’d rather have a pile of money. Maybe next year!
I finally read Girl Genius and got hooked. I’ve now read it from the very beginning.
Something to ease our pain.
GF: there’s something appropriate about using the money for spaying.
Tech: so glad you like Girl Genius! and yes, my bday was last week, but you aren’t allowed to give me EndlesS because I have every intention of buying it. also, many, many apologies re: the tshirt pic. soonly, i promise.
leafless: thanks for stopping by!
