Looking for something out of the ordinary to keep you occupied this summer? How does reading a 1000+ page book sound?
Aw, come on! That works out to around 75 pages per week — not so bad, right?
Anyway, if you care to, I’ll be joining in the fun and reading David Foster Wallace’s Infinte Jest starting June 21st.
Official website here.

After I finish rereading another book of massive girth, I shall get right on it. Personally, I love O.N.A.N. the best – too funny.
Sounds interesting & Foster is a fellow New Yorker.

“Think” is my favorite bit of his fiction, and clocks in 998 shorter.
The essay on the humor of Kafka from “Consider the Lobster” is hands down my favorite from him, but almost all of Supposedly Fun Thing is pretty good to great.
